Bellingrath Gardens and Home attract people year 'round to the Mobile area with their 65-acre, lush public garden and immaculately decorated historic home. Located on the Fowl River, just a half-hour outside of Mobile in Theodore, Alabama, this once private estate was opened to the public in 1932.
Already well known for its stunning gardens and estate, Bellingrath Gardens and Home host numerous popular events throughout the year, including the annual Fall Outdoor Cascading Chrysanthemums - the largest outdoor display of mums in the world - and Magic Christmas in Lights!
The 20th annual return of what is now a much anticipated holiday tradition, The Bellingrath Gardens and Home staff begins work on the Magic Christmas in Lights attraction in September. Magic Christmas in Lights includes 1,000 hand-made set pieces, 3 million lights, and 14 custom scenes to create a dazzling holiday display through which you can stroll.
The Bellingrath Home is also beautifully decorated for the holidays and features nightly choral performances on the South Terrace, with an option to purchase a steaming cup of delicious hot chocolate to warm you as you enjoy the twinkling spectacle.
Bellingrath Gardens and Home Magic Christmas in Lights is open daily from 5pm to 9pm with tours of the Bellingrath Home available every hour and half hour until 8:30pm.
