Bellingrath Gardens and Home is a 65-acre public garden and historic home near Mobile, AL. The estate's gardens, originally owned by Walter and Bessie Bellingrath, opened to the public in 1932. The house was added to the property as a museum in 1956, and the entire estate was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. Bellingrath Gardens and Home is well known for its lush and beautifully sculpted public gardens. People come to the Mobile area year 'round to revel in the gardens and immaculately decorated, historic home.
