Boating and fishing enthusiasts take note: It's almost time for the annual Mobile Boat Show: March 31st through April 2nd, 2017!
Gulf Coast Shows annual Mobile Boat Show is one of those events that is looked forward to all year long. This showcase of new and amazing boats, boating accessories, and fishing gear is the largest event in the area of its kind.
The Mobile Boat Show is more than just simple product promotion. It also features demonstrations and seminars, competitions, live music, and more. The event is so lively and entertaining that even your non-boating friends and family will enjoy it!
Some of the biggest crowd-pleasers are the demonstrations. The vendors really go all out to make sure that they catch your attention with professional, high-end productions.
Last year's big hit was the flyboarding demonstration in the Mobile River. If you've not seen one of these amazing water-toys in action, in person before, you'll be amazed. Flyboards are wakeboard-like platforms that utilize Jet Ski outflow for propulsion and lift. And by "lift" we mean LIFT! Flyboards can reach heights nearing 50 feet in the air. Their propulsion also allows them to dive below the surface of the water. Watching an experienced flyboarder perform is unreal to the point of disbelief.
Another highlight includes the popular
Fetch-n-Fish show. Fetch and Fish is a combination fishing seminar and dog show which sees Jason Reynolds high-flying dogs jumping into a 41-foot-long bass tub. Great fun for the whole family.
Another big event is the
Dixie Bass Trail. This is an open, 2-day, largemouth and spotted bass fishing tournament with a series of dates throughout the year leading up to the Dixie Bass Trail Classic in September. Big money and prizes are involved, making for an exciting competition.
Other highlights of the 2017 Mobile Boat Show include the Trout Fishing Pond Experience, Live Music by Tony Bowers, Kayak Demonstrations, and Marine Resource Touch Tables. There will also be lots of prizes, contests, and giveaways all weekend long.
